The Valencia CF players completed training after being called up with the Under-21s
Valencia CF players Diego López and Javi Guerra trained this morning with the Spanish Senior National Team. Both Valencia CF players had previously been called up to the Spanish Under-21s to prepare for the 2025 European Championship, which will be held in Slovakia from June 11 to 28.

Both had been among the standout performers during the second half of this past season for the team. Additionally, throughout 2024/25, López scored 8 goals — making him the team’s second-highest scorer — and provided 5 assists, which made him the top assist provider. Guerra, meanwhile, contributed 3 goals and 3 assists, as the team’s third-highest assist provider.
This recognition of the excellent performances by the Valencia CF players also reaffirms the club and VCF Academy’s work in developing elite-level footballers, not only in terms of sporting talent but also in personal growth.
The VCF Academy has established itself among the best academies in Europe. For the sixth consecutive year, the VCF Academy has been ranked in the Top 10 of the best academies on the continent. According to the latest report from November by the CIES Football Observatory, Valencia CF’s Academy achieved fourth place once again, with 26 of their players competing in Europe’s top five leagues.
